Campbell River, BC, Canada
Thunderbird RV Park and Campground is located on the traditional territory of the Campbell River Weiwaikum Laich-Kwil-Tach First Nation.
We provide a safe family camping experience right on the shores of the Tyee Spit beaches located right near Campbell River’s world famous Tyee Club.
The location of the campground has direct access to Hwy 19A.
Wake up to a million dollar view of the spectacular nature of coastal Vancouver Island and with the convenience of being only a few minutes from shopping and all amenities. The only RV Park and campground located right in the heart of Campbell River, but still secluded enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city.
We are located on the Tyee Spit with the mouth of the Campbell River and Campbell River Estuary located right behind us and the Discovery Passage and beach and ocean directly in front of us.
We are set amongst spectacular scenery with views of coastal mountains, cruise ships that pass by heading north to Alaska and south to Vancouver and Victoria almost nightly from April through to October.
Stroll along Dick Murphy Park adjacent to us, do some beach combing on the Tyee Spit, have a beach fire on the beach, a campfire at your own campsite, or simply sit back, relax, unwind, and watch bald eagles soar over head as cruise ships glide past snow-capped coastal mountains. Savour the beauty of Discovery Passage, which is the inside passage for all marine traffic to the north and south.
