Cottage Rules

The management and staff take great pride in presenting you with our new seaside cottages.  This cottage comes appointed with everything you will need to be comfortable during your visit and have provided you with a complete inventory of items available for your use.  Please let us know what else we can do to make your stay a memorable vacation.  We request you respect the cottage and its contents and should you have any difficulties please contact the office.

Housekeeping services are scheduled between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.  On arrival, we will give you a schedule based on the length of your stay which may include a towel refresh service and/or a full refresh including new linens, washroom clean up and garbage disposal.  For housekeeping services on days other than this, give us a call in the office at 250-286-3344 between 9 AM and 9 PM for immediate assistance.

 

PAYMENT AND SECURITY DEPOSIT

  1. Guests are to pay cottage rental fees prior to occupancy.
  2. No subletting is permitted - the occupant must be the registered guest.
  3. Guests are required to provide a valid credit card number for security purposes. A credit preauthorization in the amount of $500 will be put on the credit card.  The preauthorization will be released once the guest has departed.  Guests will be charged for undue damage and missing items.

 

GENERAL

  1. Cottage Check in time is at 3:00 PM. Check out time is at 11:00 AM.
  2. Quiet Time in the park is 11:00 pm to 8:00 am. No visitors after 11 PM.
  3. All guests must be accompanied by a responsible adult (21+). Never leave small children or visitor’s pets unattended.
  4. No firearms, weapons (including slingshots or bee-bee guns) or high-risk dogs (specifically pit bulls or dogs with known aggressive tendencies) are permitted in the park.
  5. No smoking or vaping, is permitted in the cottages, washrooms or laundry room. Fees will be charged for any smoke-related cleaning expenses.  Ashtrays are provided on the patio outside for your use.
  6. Abusive or threatening language and actions will not be tolerated - guests risk immediate expulsion with no refund. The resort is family oriented and any actions by guests or their visitors deemed by management as undesirable may be asked to leave.
  7. Thunderbird RV Park is not responsible for any loss or damage due to fire, water, accident, theft, weather or catastrophic events.

 

HOT TUB USE (OUTDOOR)

  1. Guests are responsible for any and all actions regarding the hot tub use. TRVP is not responsible for any accidents by the guest or their visitors.
  2. Please shower before use.
  3. Do not put any bath salts, soap or bubble bath products in the hot tub.
  4. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. See the attached guideline for hot tub use for children.

 

SPEEDING

  1. Do not speed - follow the posted speed limits within the park at all times for everyone's safety and to help keep the dust down. Continued abuse of speeding rules will result in eviction from the park
  2. Be especially careful when entering or exiting the front gate — 5 km per hour.
  3. Advise your own visitors to also follow the speed limits.

 

VEHICLES & PARKING

  1. Each cottage is permitted two parking spaces. Extra parking spaces are available on the north greenspace or by the Thunderbird office.
  2. Parking is not permitted in vacant RV sites or cottage area - these may be reserved or rented at any time. Vehicles may be towed at owner's expense.
  3. Additional vehicles must be registered and paid for at the office. The parking lot is available to guests for large boat and RV storage - these vehicles are to be registered at the office before parking.
  4. No major engine or vehicle repair is permitted at the site. Specifically - no repair is allowed involving machine fluids and other environmentally hazardous materials.
  5. Vehicles are not to be left running polluting the area with noise and smell from exhaust fumes.

 

GUEST VISITORS

  1. Only registered guests are permitted in the park after 11:00 PM.
  2. Registered guests will be held financially responsible for the actions of their visitors.
  3. Visitor's vehicles must be parked either safely on the registered guest's site or in one of the temporary parking spaces.
  4. Ensure your visitors understand and follow the park rules for everyone's safety.

 

PETS

  1. No pets are permitted in cottages. Service dogs are permitted in Cottage #4 (Orca) with prior arrangement with office.
  2. If your guests bring a pet, they are to follow these rules while in the park:
    1. Pets must be kept outside on a leash or otherwise restricted at all times.
    2. Pets may not be left unattended at any time.
    3. Guests who do not pick up after their pets may be subject to a $40 fine and/or expulsion from park.
    4. Do not allow their pets to bark excessively and disturb your neighbours.
  3. Animals are not permitted in the washrooms or laundry room except for trained service animals engaged in assisting their human partners.

 

FIRES

  1. At this time, no outdoor propane or wood burning fires are permitted in the cottage area.

 

BBQ GRILL CLEANING FEE:

We ask our guests to please clean the BBQ grill after each use. Each BBQ grill is equipped with a cleaning brush kept below the grill cupboard. If we have to clean the BBQ grill, a $25 cleaning fee will be applied to the customer’s credit card.

 

Any guest or visitor unwilling to follow the above rules may be asked to leave the park immediately (without refund) at the discretion of the Resort Manager
